Royal Mount DVM - "Timbit"

Rubenstein

A legendary sire in his own time, Rubenstein was a competitor of Olympic quality. This brilliant black Westfalen Stallion was not only a top competition horse but gave us many approved sons of Olympic caliber including Rhodiamont, Relevant, Royal Diamond, and Revan.

A stallion like Rubinstein, who departed from the equestrian stage in June 2000, aged 14, is leaving his legacy in offspring.

Rubinstein is one of the most popular and influential dressage sires the world has ever known. In competition the lovely black stallion with the golden temperament had over 40 wins in the Grand Prix ring. Carrying the bloodlines of Rosenkavalier and Romadour II on his sire's side and his dam was Antine a full sister to Dr. Reiner Klimke¹s great Alerich, Rubinstein was destine to be a great sire. In his lifetime he sired 89 State Premium mares and an astonishing 66 approved sons. His sons and daughters are carrying on his legacy today.

Rubinstein was third in his performance test at Adelheidsdorf remarkably finishing in a higher position (4th) in the jumping rankings than he did in the dressage (5th). Rubinstein was ridden in his early tests by the gifted rider/trainer Martina Hannöver, winning ten of his eleven starts at S-level. In 1995, Rubinstein scored eleven first and second placings at Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special level, and he was seriously being talked about as a candidate for the mighty German team to go to Atlanta.
